SEANAD ÉIREANN BYE-ELECTION 2026.The Genealogical Society of Ireland is a Nominating Body for Seanad Éireann for the Cultural & Educational panel. The Society's nominee for candidature is Cllr. Ray McAdam, Dublin City Councillor and former Lord Mayor of Dublin.The electorate for Seanad Bye-Elections is confined to members of the Oireachtas (Teachtaí Dála and Seanadóirí - MPs & Senators). They will vote between 23rd October and 6th November 2026 using the Single Transferable Vote form of Proportional Representation - the same that is used in all elections in Ireland.The results will be posted.@followers

The Board of Directors of the Genealogical Society of Ireland selected Councillor Ray McAdam to be its nominee to contest the Seanad Bye-Election.
