Drumlomman Parish Census – Transcription & Analysis
The Drumlomman Parish Census transcription and analysis was completed by the late Patricia Gilligan as part of the Certificate in Genealogy Course at UCD. Her wish was to make this important research widely accessible, and she entrusted the Genealogical Society of Ireland (GSI) with its publication.
Unfortunately, the GSI was unable to publish it before her passing. However, the society is now honored to fulfill her request by making this valuable genealogical resource available to all researchers tracing family history in Ireland.

Laois Papers – Historical Legal & Land Records
In the 1990s, the Genealogical Society of Ireland (GSI) acquired a large collection of historical papers from a solicitor’s office in County Laois, formerly known as Queen’s County, Ireland. These documents provide valuable insights into land ownership, family settlements, and legal transactions in the region.
The collection has been classified into three categories: Deeds, Rentals, and Family Papers (the latter is yet to be sorted).

Obituaries – Irish Expatriates in Canada, USA & New Zealand
The Genealogical Society of Ireland (GSI) acquired a collection of obituaries documenting Irish individuals who passed away, primarily in Canada, with some records from the USA and New Zealand.
This collection consists mainly of newspaper clippings, along with a few transcriptions of obituaries and gravestones. In most cases, the original cuttings do not include the name of the newspaper or the date of publication.
