“Ireland’s most active genealogical society”
A society for anyone who is interested in genealogy, family history, social history, and related activities.
The strength of the Society rests with its community of members, and their willingness to work together on individual family histories, advice clinics, publications, lectures, social meetings, document storage, archival research, database creation and dissemination, scientific research, and campaigns for legislative change.

“Ireland’s most active genealogical society”
We meet twice each month – an evening lecture, and a morning coffee discussion (currently on hold due to Coronavirus restrictions)
Members are kept informed through newsletters, websites, social media, an annual journal. The society serves the community through our advice centre and outreach activities and also preserve and publish genealogical records, and campaign for better access to genealogical records.

An Daonchartlann/Archive, our advice and help centre, the best facility for genealogy research in Ireland.
Experienced advisors always on hand
Located at Loughlinstown Drive, Loughlinstown, behind DLRCOCO Leisure Centre. Opening Hours: Wednesdays 10.00-4.00pm Saturdays – Closed for the Winter months
A new booking system is in place for visits to the Archive due to current Coronavirus restrictions.

We have a core group of very active volunteers who give of their time to keep the Society vibrant and active. We always welcome volunteers who can contribute to that activity.
Meet like-minded members to participate in major or smaller projects, achieve better outcomes for your research by working with a group, learn more about genealogy and create new friendships.
